Grammy Goddess: Rihanna
The 55th annual Grammy Awards were on last night. The Grammys are one of the most exciting award shows on television. The high energy performances, the lovely gowns, and the a-list presenters make this award show so special. The Grammys are rare because they have multiple live performances from the hottest names in the music industry.
International music sensation and Grammy Award winner Rihanna performed not only once, but twice. For her first performance, she sang her new emotional single “Stay.” Her performance was so different for the pop star because she normally sings upbeat club songs, and “Stay” was definitely not that. “Stay” was a powerful emotional ballad that really highlighted Rihanna’s vocal talent. Not only did she look beautiful while singing, but her voice sounded spectacular. The performance was extremely moving and gave me goosebumps from the moment she started singing.
Her second performance was a musical tribute to the legendary Bob Marley. She performed with Bruno Mars, Sting, and Marley’s sons Ziggy and Damian Marley. Bruno Mars started off the tribute with his hit song “Locked Out of Heaven,” then Sting sang The Police song “Walking on the Moon,” and then Rihanna and Bob Marley’s sons joined to sing his hit “Could You Be Loved.” The tribute was the highlight of the night for many people, and generated a lot of buzz on various social media websites.
Rihanna is no newbie when it comes to the Grammys. She has been attending the ceremony for many years now, but she never looked as good as she did last night. Rihanna walked the red carpet wearing a beautiful red gown, which accented her long flowing hair. Rihanna is known for taking many fashion risks, but her fashion choice last night was on point. She has never looked better, and will surely be performing at the Grammy Awards for many years to come.
